So next time you see someone overweight and catch yourself thinking that they are lazy, over indulgent slobs, consider the fact that they may be suffering from a serious disease and could use your empathy rather than judgement!
I actually do not own any photos which depict the first time I gained weight from Cushing's between 2003-2005 because I was so ashamed and embarrassed that I refused to have my picture taken! I'm sure there are some photos somewhere but I haven't kept any myself.

In the following photos from 2006 you will see that I am a "normal" size. This is because after 9 months of eating less than 1200 calories a day and working out at the gym on average 2-3hrs every day, I managed to lose 50kgs (110lbs).
You can see that by April 2007 I was already starting to put the weight back on. This despite still running one hour every morning and eating the recommended daily amount of 2000 calories a day.
